VaxiCode is the official application developed by the Government of Quebec for securely recording citizens' proof of vaccination, which includes a QR code.

With VaxiCode, citizens can easily register multiple proofs of vaccination, each containing a unique QR code, and verify the information within each QR code.

In addition, VaxiCode provides users with a comprehensive interpretation of their proof of vaccination, allowing them to determine their level of protection against COVID-19.

VaxiCode prioritizes data security and privacy. The proof of vaccination saved within the app is encrypted on the user's device and is never transmitted to any third party. Users only need to present the QR code when sharing their proof of vaccination.

No usage analytics are collected by VaxiCode, ensuring that user data remains strictly confidential.

It is important to note that VaxiCode requires a weekly update to stay up-to-date with the latest vaccine protection rules. Before downloading any new rules, the app always asks for user consent. The app only communicates with the internet when checking for the availability of these updates.

To use VaxiCode effectively, access to the device's camera is required for scanning QR codes on proof of vaccination. Alternatively, users can import images of their proof of vaccination from their phone's photo library.
